If you don't own a serger, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
Unit:
Knit fabric: light to medium weight.
AMOUNT NEEDED: 0.5 yard sizes 6-8, 0.75 yard sizes 10-14.
Knit fabric for waistband: Rib knit or main fabric if it's a similar stretch to rib.
AMOUNT NEEDED: 0.25 yards for all sizes
Optional: Drawstring, can be cut from waistband fabric
