Make it with cap sleeves or in a tank top style- add buttons or snaps on the placket.
This could be modified for woven if you add seam allowance to the armholes and neck hole to fold over for hemming.

This dress is meant to look like a casual sweatshirt paired with a voluminous skirt underneath. The construction is simple and the results so adorable! Pair a solid and print for a pop or keep it muted in monochrome. Either way the end result will be super cool :)

This zip jacket can be made with a hood or neckband finish, use the vest for warmer weather or the long sleeves for cooler weather. There's a finished zipper placket inside to make it very comfortable, no zipper edges! Great for an intermediate sewer.
