If you don't own a serger, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
Unit:
- Knit fabric for legs. Any kind will work, choose depending on the level of warmth you want. You can do a woven fabric for the outside panel of the legs as well.
AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.5 yards for sizes Preemie to 9-12M, 0.75 yards for sizes 12-18M to 4-5T, 1 yard for size 5-6T - Knit fabric for waistband. We use the same as the pants if it's stretchy enough, otherwise a rib knit or medium weight stretchy jersey will work.
