MATERIALS:

Knit fabric. We like medium weight cotton/lycra jersey. AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.5 yards for sizes 0-3M to 18-24M, 0.75 yards for sizes 2-3T to 5-6T
Elastic for waist: 1" wide. AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.5 yards for sizes 0-3M to 18-24M, 0.75 yards for sizes 2-3T to 5-6T
Optional: 1 yard of drawstring for the waist. We use a 1" wide strip of knit fabric

MACHINES:

Sewing machine
Overlock machine / Serger – If you don't own one, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
