If you don't own a serger, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.

Fabric: Jersey knit is best. Rib knit and interlock - like ponte - will work nicely for the bell sleeve modification.
AMOUNT NEEDED
- Fabric for close fit version: 1 1/4 yard for XS-XL, 2 yards 1X-2X, 2 1/2 yards 3X-4X.
- Fabric for loose fit version: 1 3/4 yards XS-3XL, 2 yards 4XL-5XL.
