If you don't own a serger, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
Unit:
Knit fabric for main body. Most medium weight knits will work.
AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.75 yards for sizes to 18-24M, 1 yard for sizes 2-3T to 5-6T\r\nKnit fabric for waistband and cuffs. Rib knit or a stretchy medium weight jersey will do.
AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.75 yards for all sizes. \r\nLightweight fusible interfacing for button placket.
