If you don't own a serger, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
Unit:
- Knit fabric for vest. Any drapey fabric looks great with this style.
AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.5 yards for sizes Preemie to 12-18M, 0.75 yards for sizes 18-24M to 5-6T - Knit fabric for collar. Any knit fabric will work but it needs to have a little stretch.
AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.25 yards for all sizes - Knit fabric for sleeves (if using).
AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.25 yards for sizes Preemie and NB, 0.5 yards for sizes 0-3M to 4-5T, 0.75 yards for size 5-6T - Belt for waist. We like to cut out a strip of fabric to make our own belt. Anything can be used though.
