Bike Shorts for Little Kids : 157
A speedy sew, our new bike shorts have two lengths and an optional liner -- the better to go with skirts, shirts, and swimsuits. Kids love the wide waistband for easy on and off, and the liner keeps seams hidden inside the gusset. This versatile pattern can be shorties, mid-thigh, or extend the length and make "jammers" for swim practice.
This pattern is easy to cut and sew in batches, and a great scrap buster! Once the child is out of bummies, the bike shorts will become your new go-to under layer.

If you don't own a serger, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
