MATERIALS:

  • Knit fabric. Most types will work well.
  • AMOUNT NEEDED FOR PANTS- 0.25 yards for Preemie,  0.5 yards for sizes NB to 12-18M, 0.75 yards for sizes 18-24M to 5-6T
  • AMOUNT NEEDED FOR SHORTS: 0.25 yards for sizes Preemie to 12-18M, 0.5 yards for sizes 18-24M to 5-6T
  • 1" wide elastic. AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.5 yards for sizes Preemie to 18-24M, 0.75 yards for sizes 2-3T to 5-6T
  • 1 yard of drawstring for waistband
  • OPTIONAL: Eyelets for waistband

MACHINES:

  • Sewing machine
  • Overlock machine / Serger – If you don't own one, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
