If you don't own a serger, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
Unit:
- Knit fabric: Although many types will work, we suggest a cotton jersey knit.
AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.25 yards for sizes 0-3M to 9-12M, 0.75 yards for sizes 12-18M to 5-6T - Knit fabric for binding and waistband: a stretchy jersey knit works for this, lightweight rib knit will as well.
AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.25 yards for all sizes - Drawstring: We use a 1 wide stripe of knit fabric and it works great!
AMOUNT NEEDED- 1 yard for all sizes
