Somehow, certain things just get sweeter when scaled-down. Yes, we're a little biased.. but you have to admit our retro shorts pattern fits this mold. Now combined with the retro pants to have two options in one!  

MATERIALS:

  • Knit fabric: Although many types will work, we suggest a cotton jersey knit. AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.25 yards for sizes 0-3M to 9-12M, 0.75 yards for sizes 12-18M to 5-6T
  • Knit fabric for binding and waistband: a stretchy jersey knit works for this, lightweight rib knit will as well. AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.25 yards for all sizes
  • Drawstring: We use a 1" wide stripe of knit fabric and it works great! AMOUNT NEEDED- 1 yard for all sizes

MACHINES:

  • Sewing machine
  • Overlock machine / Serger – If you don't own one, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
