harem coverall : 97

The harem coverall is likely the most sought after style currently. Now you can make it yourself and customize with short sleeves, long sleeves or tank top! You can also add a cuff to the ankle, simply roll it up or hem it.  Use your creativity with this pattern, the options are many! 


MATERIALS:

  • Knit fabric for main body: We suggest a light to medium weight jersey. AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.75 yards for sizes Preemie to 9-12M, 1 yard for sizes 12-18M to 3-4T, 1.25 yards for sizes 4-5T and 5-6T
  • Knit fabric for cuffs and neckband: We suggest a rib knit or cotton/lycra jersey. AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.25 yards for all sizes
  • Optional: Oval or round cord elastic if your fabric doesn't recover well from stretching: Sizes are specified in pattern. Range is from 13" for Preemie to 17.5" for 5-6T

MACHINES:

  • Sewing machine
  • Overlock machine / Serger – If you don't own one, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.

This coverall pulls up over the body through the neck, which makes it so simple!

You will need a fabric that recovers well for this style, if you don't have that you can take the suggestion of adding elastic to the neckband so it maintains its shape after being stretched.  All those instructions are in the tutorial.
