kangaroo shorts : 132

These shorts with a kangaroo pocket are an easy sew for a trendy, functional outcome! Style works well for all sizes :)

MATERIALS:

  • Knit fabric for legs, most types will work well. AMOUNT NEEDED: 0.5 yards for all sizes
  • Ribbing for the cuffs. You can also use main fabric if it has similar stretch to a rib. AMOUNT NEEDED: 0.12 yards for all sizes.
  • 0.75" wide elastic for waistband. Measurements in tutorial
  • Optional: Drawstring: I use a strip of knit fabric most times

MACHINES:

  • Sewing machine
  • Overlock machine / Serger – If you don't own one, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
