We love our kimono bodysuit so much we couldn't resist using the design to inspire this shirt. Great to take home your bundle of joy (or make as a gift), our kimono shirt is a quick sew- even for beginners.

Includes optional hand mitts for newborns.


MATERIALS:

  • Knit fabric for shirt, we suggest a soft cotton jersey. AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.75 yards for all sizes.
  • Knit fabric for binding, a stretchy jersey knit works for this as well as a lightweight rib knit. AMOUNT NEEDED- 0.25 yards for all sizes.
  • 4 sets of snaps and snap fastener. We suggest size 14 (aka: 5/16" or 8mm)

MACHINES:

  • Sewing machine
  • Overlock machine / Serger – If you don't own one, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
